Biographie
I was inspired to develop an application after my research on smart cities lead me to information about Boston City developing an application to detect potholes and also some car companies in the UK that were trying to implement a feature in the vehicles to detect potholes and bumps. With my background in Robotics and this research, I decided to create a mobile app to detect potholes and bumps. I also think it is important for smart cities to have good communication and collaboration with its residents, so I added that component to my app. I would like to add a feature in my application that can alert drivers of upcoming bumps and potholes and also show the traffic delays. Advice that i would like to other students is that do a lot of research before implementation and think of something innovative and something you are passionate about.

Sommaire:We are hearing a lot these days about 'smart cities'. Smart Cities use technology to benefit the community and to solve everyday real world problems. The mobile application that has been developed is called Bump-O-Meter and it aims at both solving a real world problem of detecting potholes/bumps as well as increasing collaboration and communication between the municipality and the residents through social media.
