Biography
My name is Dhvani Patel and I am a grade 12 student from Westwood Community High School located in Fort McMurray, Alberta. One of my favourite things to do, and also my strength is coding. My favourite subjects are science (mostly physics and computer science) and math. My hobbies include tinkering with Arduino and programming apps. I simply love technology and I recently presented my SMART Agricultural Technology science fair project to the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau. I have also been on the robotics team for 5 years now and I was the lead programmer for our team during the FLL Razorback World Championship Tournament. I certainly plan on pursuing Software Engineering in my future studies.

W.A.A.! SMART Infant Health Technology
Challenge:Innovation
Category:Senior
Region:Wood Buffalo
City:Fort McMurray, AB
School:Westwood Community High School
Abstract:I created a SMART infant monitoring system that can be used both by clinics and parents, in developing and developed nations, to reduce infant mortality by monitoring infant temperature using a novel battery-less patch, infant heart rate and infant position using a camera, and classify infant voice as crying. Plus, I also propose an affordable, efficient, and decentralized medical record system.
