Biographies
Gage - I am a very hard working student at Kahnawake Survival School. I am 14 years old and in grade 9. I love to work with my teachers and am always willing to stay after school for extra help. I also like to hang out with friends and go to movies, just like every other typical teenager. One of my future goals is to work in fashion. Hopefully, one day I will have my own name brand clothing. Another one of my goals is to be a model. Perhaps one day I will be modeling my own clothing line. I would like to travel and work in various places across the world, like Europe. I don’t what to stay in one place my whole life. Many people in my community never leave and don’t take the opportunity to explore other places in the world. That is not the life I choose for myself. I want to be able to experience different cultures and different locations.
Shakoiehtha - My family and friends are very important to me. I'm very loyal to them and would do almost anything to make sure they're happy. I’m also very loyal to myself and have goals I want to achieve. One of my goals is to stay in school and go to university. I would like to study business and management. My favorite hobby is sitting at my computer and going on the website “My Space”. This allows me to keep in touch with friends and family. I am also very active too. I am a spirited swimmer and train daily. I also compete in this sport. This science fair is a big opportunity for my partner and me. I know it will benefit me now and in the future because it will help me with speaking skills and self-confidence. I’m a competitive person and hope to do well in this event.

Abstract:Protection and comfort from the sun are offered through sunglasses. Our study was to find out if expensive sunglasses provide better protection than inexpensive sunglasses from the dangerous UV rays emitted by the sun. In a comparison, expensive made brands of sunglasses provide the same level of sun protection as inexpensive sunglasses.
