Hi, my name is Joshua, and I'm from Tomken Road MS in Mississauga. In my free time I enjoy watching shows like Riverdale, Stranger Things and 13 Reasons Why, cooking, and playing Badminton. I got inspiration for my topic from extensive research on unsustainable pesticides, and natural substances with herbivore repelling properties. However, I recognize and agree with the fact that finding a topic is the hardest part of the project, as it can take weeks to months to find a project idea that you believe is worth investigating. The advice I would give is to find a problem, big or small (but impactful), and once you have, firstly test if the problem has a viable, cheap and accessible solution, and if little work needs to be done in terms of solving it. If not, and/or there's an aspect of the problem that needs a solution, spend time thinking of imaginative solutions to the issue, whether it be a new substance you test, or an innovation you build. Remember, the time you spend is worth it in the end. Good luck! |

There was with three experiments, which test if monoterpenes and which amount applied are most effective, and if they impact plant growth. |
