Biography
My name is Renkee Réal Roy, I am a 9th grade student at Bridgewater Junior High. I am very interested in electronics, RC cars and LEGO. I have a vast knowledge on electrical circuits and build projects regularly. I take old and broken RC cars, refurbish and update the electronics and race them. For example; if I see an RC car obliterated on the side of the road on spring cleanup or find them at yard sales, I’ll buy them and take the good parts off of them to use in my cars. I also build car chassis out of LEGO, add RC suspension, drill motors and RC receivers to control them. I would consider myself an RC hobbyist even though I build my cars on a thin budget, with mostly all of them recycled ten dollar cars. While most RC hobbyists use brand new hobby grade RC parts, I use recycled cheap parts. I still don’t know what I am going to do career wise, but it will be something to do with engineering or a trade.

Abstract:For my project, I took parts of remote controlled cars, and built my own that can drive itself. To mimic a real life malfunction or hacking situation with my autonomous car, I built a second car, with a fully functioning police EMP system. The EMP is a device that shoots the electronics of the autonomous car and shuts it off.
