Biographies
Vanessa - My name is Vanessa Wick. I’m in Grade 12 and 18 years old. I have a family that consists of five people. I have played many sports since I was little. The last six years I have played senior basketball, volleyball, and badminton at the Weyburn Comprehensive School and at St. Michael’s Junior High. My favourite sport is softball or fastpitch. I have many accomplishments from sports including provincial titles to Western Canadian’s medals. I have been playing for the concert band and jazz band at Weyburn Comp. School. I also enjoy singing, where I am in two choirs at the Comp. I also have been in 4-H for just over 10 years. I have mostly been in beef, but in my ten years of being a 4-H member. My goals for after grade 12 are to attend the University of Saskatchewan, which I have been excepted into kinesiology. I want to become a physical therapist, which requires a degree in kinesiology and a masters in physical therapy. I have many academic achievements. Grade 7 and 9 I recieved general proficiency for my grade. I have recieved things from student of the year too a scholarships for next year.
Brittany - My name is Brittany Arts, I am 18 years old. I'm involved in many things, I'm a Cheerleader, I'm involved in my school's STARS show choir, and I'm part of the jazz band as well as concert band and grade 11/12 choir. I was in my school's drama production of Sleepy Hollow as well as a part of the musicals of Annie, Oliver, and Footloose over the past three years and I was part of a youth musical within the community. I sang with a group of four of my friends in music festival as well as sang a solo and receive certificates for both. My cheerleading squad has achieved two first places and a second place at our competitions this year. I am also involved in a hip hop dance group which has very done well at our recent dance competitions. I also volunteer at Tatagwa, a local care home, and I volunteered at a kid’s camp for this past summer. Next year I plan to go to the University of Saskatchewan and work to become a pharmacist. I am also very concerned about pollution, the environment and making the world a better and healthier place for future generations.

Abstract:Find a way to convert the wasted kinetic energy given off in the form of hot water at Shand Power Station or other generating power stations into useable energy for homes, as well as reduce the environmental damage caused by this hot water being released into the surrounding area.
