Biographie
My name is Natalie Pegus. I am a Grade 8 student at Riverside School in Thompson, Manitoba. In school I play alto sax. I also belong to the select and junior high choirs. I belonged to the drama club and had the part of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. I have taken all ten levels in the Red Cross Swimming program and have also taken lessons in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theater, Ukrainian and Irish dancing. I have been playing the piano since I was three and am currently working towards my Grade 5 piano and Grade 1 theory. I have done a science project every year since I was in Grade one. I have received gold for my projects every year from Grades 4 to 8 at the school level. An award I was excited to receive was a silver medal for a demi-character ballet dance I did at Dance Power in Saskatoon. An exciting experience I recently had was an audition for a part in the Sound of Music for Rainbow Stage in Winnipeg. In the future I hope to attend a university to study marine biology. I am also interested in pursuing a career in theater.

Sommaire:This project investigates the possibilities of waves being emitted by cell phones into a person's head (brain). Microwave detectors were utilized to verify if waves were detectable. Attitudes towards the dangers of cell phones were studied. Preventative possibilities were investigated by determining whether various materials or fabrics could be used to deflect the waves. Wireless laptops and televisions were also tested for waves.
