Abstract:Excessive proliferation and migration of vascular cells toward the lumen, which leads to arterial occlusion, is the central dogma in Atherosclerosis. Sumac leaves are believed to have cardio-protective roles. Given that sumac's dominant component is tannin, the preventive effect of tannin on vascular cell migration and proliferation was investigated.
