City:North Bay, ON
School:École Algonquin catholique secondaire
Abstract:We introduce an innovative flow-through sampler that can sample, in real time, macro-invertebrates such as Mysis relicta and Bythotrephes longimanus. Our data can be used to produce three-dimensional charts either in real time or back-at-the-lab. Drawn diagonally, our sampler can 'scan' the water column to determine macro-invertebrate organism location(s).
