Dear Participants

Visit the participant registration of our website to register your science project. Deadline for registration is April 5, 2019.

Please note that students (Grade 4-6) and (Grade 7-10) can participate as an individual or group of two. Here are the categories:

· Health, Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Sciences

· Microbiology & Chemistry

· Animal Science

· Plant Science

· Physics and Engineering

· Social Science

·Environmental Science

On April 9th we will kick off Bison Regional Science Fair, Grade 4-6 will be setting up their projects and doing peer presentations from 4:30-5:30 PM.

 

On April 10th- Judging for Grade 4-6 will be from 9:00- 12:30 AM. Students may leave after judging. The awards ceremony will be on April 11 at 4:15 PM in the Holy Cross School Gymnasium.

 

For Grades 7- 10- Project Set up, safety checkups, peer presentations, and pictures will be on April 10th from 3:30-4:30 PM and on April 11th from 7:00-8:30 AM.

 

Next day on April 11th, Judging will be from 8:30-11:30 AM and 11:30 AM 1:00 PM. Lunch/Refreshments- Limited quantities will be available for purchase in the school cafeteria. Parking is available at the back side and side streets of the school.

 

Grade 7-10 students will be participating in the hands-on workshop from 12:45/1-2:45 PM. That time the second round of judging will also take place. 

 

Public Viewing 3-4 PM and it will be followed by CWSF grade 4-10 award ceremony from 4:15-5:00 PM

Project Report/Abstract: Students in the grades 7 – 10 must also attach a minimum one-page typed project report/abstract to their entry form.  It is encouraged for grades 6 and under, but not mandatory. This abstract will be given to judges before they see the project.  It is a very important part of the judging process. The project report/abstract must include:

          · The project name and name(s) of students

          · A statement of the basic problem or question.

          · A brief summary of observations and/or data.

· A summation or generalization of the conclusions drawn as a result of the investigation.

          · Good grammar and no spelling errors

          · SI (metric units), if applicable

          · Bibliography and references
