This project is a continuation of last year's project which involved developing a method to effectively, reliably and responsibly reduce the populations of Lymnae stagnalis so that cases of swimmer's itch are less likely to occur at recreational lakesides. This year's purpose was to take the most effective method that I developed called "scrape and sweep" and modify it to be able to reduce populations in the three different habitats of the snail.
