The purpose of this project is to investigate the effect of various colours of light on the movement behaviour of the pond snail (Lymnae stagnalis). The pond snail is emerging as an important tool in helping neuroscientists better understand memory formation since a single neuron is the sight of memory and storage for associative learning. This project shows how coloured light affects the snail and provides data for future research into colour and learning.
