Why are some bugs attracted to light? Scientists call it phototaxis.
Phototaxis means movement in response to light.
Positive phototaxis or movement toward light was explored.
A mini bug bot that is sensitive to light was built and used to test different properties of a light source.
The data demonstrated that light brightness had the largest influence on a bug's response.
In conclusion, a brighter light source generates a greater attraction to the light source.
