For my science fair project I chose to do a test with oil spills and sea otters to find out which dish soap works best to get the oil off their fur. I chose this project because I want to help otters and figure out how to help them survive oil spills. The result is important because it can help people when there is an oil spill so that they know what dish soap works best to remove oil from the otters' fur. I had a meeting with marine biologist Danielle Hyson at the Vancouver Aquarium. This was where I got the idea about the dish soaps and where I learned many interesting facts about otters.
