This study explores properties of burner systems that affect their efficiency in harnessing heat. In this experiment, it was studied how the type of insulation used in the system affects efficiency.rnrnFour insulators were tested in four homemade stoves. In each of the stoves, equivalent amounts of the same fuel were burned to heat equal amounts of water. The heat harnessed was measured by the amount of heat absorbed by the water. Each is compared to the others and to the amount of heat in the fuel which was measured with a crude calorimeter in separate tests.rn
