Hoping to set safety limits, this study calculated the minimum volume of expansion that should be allowed in a hydrogen oxygen battery cell if the pressure stays atmospheric, and the minimum pressure that a cell should be able to contain if it was to hold a fixed volume. After calculations, the total expansion of volume was calculated to be 1900mL. The information was then entered into the ideal gas law, and the approximate pressure inside a fully charged cell that held a constant 1mL volume was calculated to be 29000psi having rounded insignificant figures.
