This project aims to compare and contrast two promising and eco-friendly methods of producing hydrogen. Hydrogen has been called the "Fuel of the Future", but it has not been adopted as quickly as initially predicted partly due to the difficulty of producing it efficiently and with minimum pollution. This experiment studied hydrogen production using algal photosynthesis and bacterial fermentation under a variety of conditions. The efficiency of each method was then measured and analyzed, and bacterial fermentation was found to be more efficient than algal photosynthesis.
