Neuroprotection of L-Theanine in an In-Vitro Stroke Model
Division:Life Sciences / None
Region:Prince Edward Island
City:Charlottetown, PE
School:Charlottetown Rural H.S.
Abstract:An in-vitro stroke model was created to test L-theanine (an active ingredient in Japanese Green Tea). L-theanine was being tested for its neuroprotective effects on the brain, and a proper model had to be created to quickly and effectively screen the substance for its neuroprotective ability.
