Lisa-Marie Assenza is a grade seven student at St. Clare Of Assisi School in Stoney Creek, Ontario. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends. She is a provincial gymnast at the Hamilton Wentworth Regionettes Gymnastic Club. She has been in gymnastics since she was two years old. Lisa-Marie was named "Athlete of The Year" in the 2005-2006 season of gymnastics. She hopes to someday become an Olympic gymnast. Lisa-Marie has a positive attitude towards learning new things and is always ready for a good challenge. Her favourite school subjects are Science, French, and Religion. Lisa-Marie recently received an award from the Director Of Education for Science and Technology. She has not yet decided on a future occupation; however, she is considering a career in psychology or law.

Abstract:This project experimented to determine if gender affects how a person reads and understands a scrambled word paragraph. Fourteen subjects read a scrambled word paragraph and answered comprehension questions at the end of the reading. In conclusion, gender does affect how a person reads and understands a scrambled word paragraph.
