Abstract:The purpose of this experiment was to analyze the effects of various concentrations of citric and phosphoric acid on teeth. Phosphoric acid resulted in the most damage to the teeth, over citric acid, by etching away at the hard enamel, and leaving the teeth soft and flexible. In significance, frequently drinking beverages containing phosphoric acid, without brushing, will cause severe decay on teeth.
