Peter - My name is Peter O'Rielly, I'm 18 years old and a level 3 student at St.Gabriel's All Grade School on St.Brendan's island Newfoundland (population ~130). I am a member of student council an honour student, an active volunteer within my school and community and a member of our schools floor hockey team. I enjoy all sports especially hockey, soccer basketball, and tennis. I enjoy watching movies, reading books, drawing portraits and hanging out with friends. I have recently been awarded the Loran Scholarship and when I graduate I plan to attend Memorial University of Newfoundland where I hope to become a high school mathematics teacher and possibly later become a University Professor in applied mathematics.
Hilary - My full name is Hilary Alexandra Walsh and I am a Grade 12 student at St. Gabriel’s All Grade School in St. Brendan’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. I am a member of my school’s Student Council and I am also an altar server for my church and a member of my community’s Parish Council. My hobbies include playing and watching sports, writing, and reading. I am attending Memorial University (MUN) in the fall where I plan on eventually obtaining a Doctor of Medicine.

Abstract:Shhhhhhhh – 3 (Into the Blue) is a project that deals with the study of sound waves underwater. In particular it deals with the effects that altering water’s salinity levels, temperature, and pollution / sediment concentrations will have on a sound wave’s ability to travel through water.
