Brooklyn - I am a grade 7 student from Deer Meadow School in Olds Alberta. I enjoy riding my horse Calvin, and competing in Dressage, Stadium and Cross country shows and camps. I also really enjoy going to Pony Club with all my friends. In the winter I like to snowboard and sled. I like to play the clarinet in the school band, and I play soccer and volleyball too. My career plans for the future are to either be a doctor or a vet. I have a passion for science and my partner Claire and I have been in science fair together for four years now. Going to the Canada Wide Science fair will be a really awesome experience and it will be fantastic to view all the projects that have qualified.

On Farm Algae Production
Région:Central Alberta
Ville:Olds, AB, Olds , AB
École:Deer Meadow School
Sommaire:Different concentrations of dairy manure were tested to determine what is the best blend when producing algae for fuel and feed? We found out that 2% manure was the best blend because the cell count was highest, and the algae were able to use up all of the nutrients. We can make enough biodiesel and feed to support our farm.
