My name is Brody Ryder, and I am 14 years old. I am currently in Grade 8, attending Tilbury Area Public School in Tilbury, Ontario. My favourite subjects are math and physical education, and I have received my school’s proficiency award in Grades 6 & 7. I currently serve on Student Council as Co-Prime Minister, and as captain of our senior basketball, soccer, and volleyball teams. Outside of school, I’m the goaltender for the Tilbury Thunder Bantam Rep. Travel Hockey Team, and a timekeeper for Tilbury Minor Hockey. I enjoy running, cycling, and exercising, spending time with my family camping, as well as many hobbies such as collecting hockey cards, assembling K’nex models, reading, and cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs. I am looking forward to attending goalie camp this year in Amherstburg, Ontario, going to the Ontario Educational Leadership Camp in Orillia, Ontario, and volunteering as a counsellor in training at a another Hockey School in Leamington, Ontario later this summer. I plan on attending Tilbury District High School in Tilbury, Ontario this September. I am very enthusiastic about participating in the Canada Wide Science Fair, and proud to be able to represent my school, town, and region.

Sommaire:This project studied what type of assembly instructions are easiest to follow: visual, text, or a combination of both. An equal amount of male and female participants in three age categories completed assemblies of Lego models in the same order. The timed results indicated overall participants were most effective and efficient utilizing visual instructions only, especially in the 20-49 age category.
