Flowing Through Distinct Watersheds
City:Toronto, ON
School:Upper Canada College
Abstract:The four main rivers in Southern Ontario originate from the same Mono area and flow into three different lakes, through distinct watersheds consisting of farmlands, cities, and greenbelts. This project aims to examine the correlation between the pollution levels at the river mouths and the characteristics of the watersheds the rivers flow through. It also studies whether the Green Belts help reduce river pollution.
