Abstract:This project examines the use of incidental music in shaping viewers’ perceptions of several open-ended animated scenarios. Participants were presented with sets of animations varying with respect to dramatic content and type of cadence used in the incidental music. The type of cadence used appeared to affect outcome prediction.
