Print/Download as PDF

This is my second Canada Wide Science Fair. I am a cross-country ski racer, and train year round. I recently competed at the 2007 Canada Winter Games. I also enjoy track and field and cross-country running. I play piano, and I am currently working on my grade 8 RCM. I also sing and perform musical theatre. I am very interested in international affairs, and I love to travel.

Abstract:This project uses solar energy to heat water to pasteurisation temperatures. Solar water pasteurisation decontaminates water in developing countries, stopping the spread of disease. Construction plans were developed, and three pasteurisers were built and then tested using contaminated water. Pasteurisers were made of recyclable materials, costing nothing. After each experiment water tests were conducted. Results proved that the hybrid design is the most efficient.
