CWSF 2013 - Lethbridge, Alberta

Print/Download as PDF

I am a grade 10 student at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School. In my spare time I enjoy different sports such as basketball, swimming, badminton, and golf. Aside from sports I also take part in my school’s Reach for the Top and robotics teams. I enjoy the outdoors at all times of the year through fishing, boating, watersports, snowmobiling and skiing. I am currently enrolled in the International Baccalaureate programme at Lo-Ellen and plan to pursue it throughout high school. I am an avid reader enjoying predominantly science fiction novels as well as non-fiction texts like science magazines and trivia books. I also enjoy working with computers and have been around them my whole life. I installed my first computer program when I was 2 years old and have loved working and playing on computers ever since.

REFLEX: The Auto Pilot
City:Sudbury, ON
School:Lo-Ellen Park S.S.
Abstract:The system that I developed autonomously controls a remote control car. The goal of REFLEX is to improve safety, lessen the risks associated dangerous driving and allow people with disabilities more freedom. Beyond cars, my system can be used effectively in any driving situation, reducing opportunity for human endangerment. I believe this system is effectively the embodiment of the self-driving car of the future.
