Chirag - My name is Chirag Rahul Chopra, and I was born in 2001. My favorite subject is Science. I love reading, swimming, and poetry. I also like interacting with new people. When I grow up, I want to get into the Oxford University medical program, and train to be a doctor. I was also one of the 50 regional spelling Bee champions. I am a straight A student, and aim to win the nationals.I aspire to proudly represent my country Canada, at the International Science Fair. I posses a very positive attitude towards Mother Nature, therefore I have chosen this project. Oil spills have been threatening our environment, as well as our economy for a long time now. The cleanup of oil is very costly, and billions are spent on it. Me and my partner decided to give the governments, and oil companies a break from all these costs. We found out a technique called bioremediation that can save billions on oil clean up efforts, and also have lesser of an environmental impact.
Kashish - My name is Kashish Rahul Chopra and I was born on June 12, 2002. I was born in Chandigarh, India. I am 11 years old. I live in Surrey B.C and speak 4 languages, English, Hindi, Punjabi, and a little bit of French. I go to Heath Traditional Elementary, and am in grade 7. I also have also won 1st overall in my grade for the past 3 years. My hobbies are swimming, reading, basketball, tennis, and soccer. I want to go to Harvard University to study. I aspire to be a doctor when I grow up. I have a very environmental friendly family.

Sommaire:Bioremediation is the process of removing contaminants from a toxic area using bacteria. Our research questions were, do phosphorous levels have any effect on the effectiveness or speed of the process, and is bioremediation actually environment, and cost friendly. Our hypothesis, and results both stated that yes, more the phosphorous, more the bacteria, and it is indeed cost, and environment friendly.
