Jakob - Jakob Krausz is a grade eight student at Holy Name of Mary Elementary School. He enjoys various activities including Martial Arts, Theatrical Arts, reading, writing and presumably so: Science-related activities. Jakob strives to understand how the world works and to make continual improvements on preexisting systems and mechanisms. He is particularly interested in Physics as well as Automotive Science and aims to establish a future automotive firm of his own. He plans to achieve a Masters Degree in mechanical engineering and an Economics Minor Degree to aid him with his future company. Jakob, in addition to his colleague Richard formulated a new method of vehicular cooling, a method that utilizes a technology called Thermoelectric Generators to not only remove waste heat from battery-operated vehicles (though not exclusive to), but to also generate usable electricity in the process. This could make sustainable transportation more attractive to the buyer's eye due to an extended travel/battery range. Plans for further investigations include: experimenting with other vehicle components (in addition to batteries) and extracting more accurate results by testing more frequently. He would like to extend his most sincere gratitude to those who have generously aided him in transportation, parts-supply, constructive criticism and assistance.
Rj - R.J. Masse is a grade 8 student at Holy Name of Mary School in St. Marys Ontario. He enjoys playing hockey, board games, mountain biking and snowboarding. His favourite subjects are math and science. The inspiration came from a science class about . If there is a further investigation done he would have the TEGs on the RC car while in motion.

Sommaire:The purpose of this innovation is to accelerate the transition to sustainable transportation by increasing the battery range of all electric or hybrid vehicles. This occurs by installing themoelectric generators on vehicular components that radiate vast amounts heat such as the battery or the motor. By recovering waste engine heat, energy consumption can be maximized, extending the range of all battery operated vehicles.
