Matthew Carmine - My name is Matthew Salituro. I am currently in grade 8 at St. Antoine Daniel Catholic School. I have involved myself in many school activities. In November 2007 I was elected Student Council president. I work hard with my fellow council members to organize events for the whole school. I wish to continue my leadership skills when in high school. I am also involved in extra-curricular activities such as hockey and soccer in organized leagues. In my spare time, I enjoy skateboarding and reading books. As I continued my involvement in activities, I have won many awards. Some awards include: First place science fair at my school, Gold medal award at the Toronto Sci-Tech Fair, being named captain of the W5H team and leading them to a first place finish at the regional finals, TCDSB Student Achievement Award, and the most sportsman like player two years in a row for hockey. Come September, I will be attending De La Salle College. I also plan on attending university to further my education. With regards to career plans, I am undecided, however, optimistic that I will achieve and perform to the best of my ability.
