Abstract:This project examined whether LEDs or incandescent light bulbs would result in better brake lights for vehicles. Tests were conducted on one thousand people in order to determine their reaction times to the two lights. The lifespan of the lights was also studied. The results of both tests clearly demonstrated that LEDs are the superior choice for use as brake lights by the automotive industry.
