| My name is Jessica Stewart. I am 16 years old, in grade 11 and attend Semiahmoo Secondary School in BC where I am a part of the International Baccalaureate program. I love science and I hope to pursue it in my post secondary education and possibly become a chemical engineer. In my spare time I play the piano and lots of sports, such as soccer, field hockey and skiing. I love to sing and to act and have been in multiple school productions. I also love to read and my favorite books include: The Other Hand and The Golden Compass. At school I am the head of the Model United Nations club and at the conference this year in Vancouver I received an honorable mention award. After high school I plan to attend university but would also love to travel to New Zealand and/or Africa. |

It specifically investigated the levels of hydrocarbons as a measure of the crude oil levels in the ocean water in the Vancouver area using a turbidity meter. |
