Biography
My name is Dominic Slivinski and I am 12 years old. I live with my mother and father and four siblings, one brother and three sisters. I have lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba all my life. My interests include various sports, with football and hockey being my two favourites. I play on a flag football team and a doubles badminton team at this time. I also enjoy hiking, fishing, canoeing, swimming and biking. Some of my favourite times are when I am camping with my family. I have a large extended family and we get together often to celebrate birthdays and other special holidays. The food is always fantastic! In school my special interests are phys-ed, geology and physical geography. In my free time I love building with my huge collection of Lego. I am thinking of becoming a swimming instructor someday to help me pay for my university education. I will probably go into the sciences as this is what interests me most.

Abstract:What factors affect the density of stomata on a leaf? Stomata are microscopic pores on the underside of a leaf that take in carbon dioxide and emit oxygen. I tested the amount of sunlight the tree was exposed to, the ground level the tree was situated on to determine its availability to water, and the species of trees from which my leaves were taken.
