Biographies
Sarah - My name is Sarah Sheppard and I am a grade 9 student at Prince of Wales Secondary in Vancouver, B.C. This is my second time attending the Canada Wide Science Fair and I am very excited to be going back. My life is quite busy, but I manage to make time for things that I am passionate about. My favourite extra curriculars sport activities include playing soccer; which lead to this project concept, swimming with my competitive club the Vancouver Vikings, and playing ultimate with my school and the Vancouver Ultimate League. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering working with and caring for elderly people as well as playing my cello. An interesting fact about myself is that I spent four years learning chinese in a bilingual program at my elementary school.
Alison - My name is Alison Schwenk and I am a grade nine student attending prince of wales mini school. I participated in our school science fair last year and this year chose a project closer to my own interests and was more successful and excited by it. I have been playing soccer my entire life. I also enjoy dancing, baking, running, traveling, volunteering in my community, and the company of my peers. I was inspired to do a project on injury prevention because of my countless injuries as a result of my years playing soccer.
