Biographie
The project was inspired by a documentary I watched 3 years ago about soccer players getting cancer in the Washington area which was linked to the crumb rubber infused artificial turf they were playing on . I plan on continuing my research on the effects of crumb rubber on the health of athletes playing on it. Also, I plan on continuing to elaborate my design for an indoor natural grass turf for our northern climate. I plan on including aspects that would include environmentally friendly ways to recycle water and use renewable energy to power instruments needed to maintain the field and cut cost down. I am hoping to build a miniature model of the field on my property in Prince George. Advice I would give to students thinking about doing a project would be that they choose a project that they are passionate about. I love soccer and I play on my high school team. My project is something that directly affects me and my team mates.

Sommaire:In this study I looked at the differences between artificial turf and natural grass and the effects that they have on the people who play on it. This is an interesting topic because so many people play on artificial turf. This study will also help the community because upon research I have found that playing on artificial turf can cause some types of cancer.
